Randee Workman

What drew you to your current role?

I have a background in healthcare and Eyecare, I worked as an Ophthalmology Tech and learned so much, which just grew my love for eyes and vision so much, the eyes are so complex and do so much. When I was offered this role at LEBW I was so excited to continue learning & growing my skills even further and helping patients improve their sight and quality of life…..and it means so much, it’s an incredible gift and I feel honored everyday.

What projects or tasks do you find most rewarding?

Honestly… every task is rewarding just knowing how precious the corneas are- from ordering & stocking supplies, to evaluating the tissue and then being in processing getting the cornea ready for the surgeon. I think every single step is meaningful.

What’s one piece of job advice you’d give to your younger self?

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Learning a new role or new skills can be stressful or hard but it’s so rewarding and chances are you are doing better than you think!

What’s something you’re passionate about outside of work?

Mostly my kids & family (and when I get time I love crafts, especially DIY projects or camping!) I have 3 kids and I love being a Mom and making sure they are becoming good humans. They keep me BUSY!

What’s the last book you read or show you binge-watched?

The original Dexter. But we also love anything by Taylor Sheridan and will binge his shows too. I really wish I had more time to read- Someday!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Greece! It’s always been at the top of my travel bucket list. I’d love to learn more about their culture but it looks like perfection with the blue water.
