Thank you for your support

Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin is passionate about restoring sight, eliminating curable blindness, and advocating for organ, eye, and tissue donation. We need your help to give the gift of sight to those who need it most.

General Operating Fund (unrestricted)

Help LEBW defray the rising costs of operating the eye bank, helps us purchase necessary medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff, replace outdate and obsolete eye banking equipment and other necessary supplies. Reducing the cost of operating the eye bank helps us to continue to provide the gift of sight at a minimal cost and allows the eye bank to continue to evolve and grow as new technologies and services are required.

Global Vision

This fund helps establish and expand critical vision services as part of the Lions Vision Global Cause. Funds are used to support medical mission trips, gratis corneal tissue, surgical training, related equipment, supplies, educational materials and other related needs.

Journey of the Gift of Sight Memorial Garden

LEBW is raising funds to build a special garden to honor and remember individuals who helped change and enhance the lives of others through their gift of sight donation. The garden will be a lasting, living tribute to all those who gave the gift of sight.

The Journey of the Gift of Sight Memorial Garden represents life, hope, and healing and is a place of remembrance for those who gave the gift of sight and a place of inspiration to all touched by eye donation.

Donor Family Services

You can help to defray the cost of providing grief-support programs for our donor families.

Charity Care

Charity care funds allow LEBW to provide the gift of sight to individuals who do not have the means to afford their cornea transplant or aftercare. Each year, Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin serves our local residents, as well as provides corneas for mission trips and offers the gift of sight in countries where there is no other opportunity to receive a cornea transplant.

Education & Research

You can help defray the cost of providing education to the general public, health care professionals, medical examiner offices, surgeons, residents and LEBW staff.

Knight of Sight and other Fellowship awards

The Knight of Sight and Gift of Sight Fellowship Awards are the highest form of recognition from LEBW presented to an individual, Lions Club, or group. A gift of $1,000 or more qualifies you for the prestigious Knight of Sight Fellowship, and a gift of $500 qualifies you for the Gift of Sight Fellowship Award. These awards can be given to an individual, organization, Lions Club, or group. The recipient’s name will be prominently displayed on the LEBW Knight of Sight or Gift of Sight Wall of Honor, a plaque, and the recipient’s name recognized in the LEBW Annual Report and LEBW website.

Give the Gift of Sight. Become a Transporter!

With more than 2,600 volunteers around the state of Wisconsin, the LEBW transporter program is one of many ways you can volunteer for LEBW. Transporters around the state help relay corneal tissue from various points across the state into LEBW and then back out to surgery. As long-time dispatcher Lyle "Doc" Esser says about the transporter program, "The work we do today means someone gets to see tomorrow."
