Lions Clubs International created an international program to encourage, promote, improve, and establish eye banking internationally so that quality eye tissue for corneal transplants, research and other medical purposes may be provided to developing countries.
The Lions Legacy of Sight Award is presented annually and honors individuals outside the professional donation and transplantation community who have significantly impacted the public about donation and promoting donor registration on a state or national level.
In June 2023, LEBW installed an interactive touch-screen display meant to tell our story, share the stories of those who have given or received the Gift of Sight, and recognize our Lions volunteers and financial contributors. The link below will take you to the display.

Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin (LEBW) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and team of professionals and volunteers, dedicated to the mission of restoring the gift of sight through recovery and transplantation of corneas, research to advance the knowledge and treatment of eye diseases, and education to increase donations. Our ultimate goal is to improve people’s quality of life through the gift of sight.
