Keith Heimann

Keith was an amazing husband, father, son and friend to many. Keith never had a bad day. He always had a smile on his face and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Keith always saw the beauty in people and the world around him. One of Keith’s most famous sayings was “I could sit here all day”. He would say this when we were on vacation and found a beautiful look out point. We traveled to many National Parks (His favorite was Glacier National Park). His favorite vacation spots were New York City (he loved to people watch) and Key West. The only vacation spots left on his vacation bucket list were Alaska and Dallas (He wanted to see where JFK was assassinated and the Cowboy stadium). Keith was a huge Packer fan. I would hate for anyone to think otherwise. He just enjoyed seeing the NFL stadiums. Keith viewed life as “I could sit here all day”. He would take time to sit back and enjoy the beauty. This is something that I hope to do more of in the future and what I hope you can do with the gift of eyesight. Take time to enjoy the beauty around you.
Keith’s father passed away in April, 2024 and struggled for years before his passing. I watched my husband help his mom to become an amazing caretaker to his father. The kindness and patience that he showed to his father was inspiring. I felt so safe knowing I was going to grow old with this person and I knew he would take good care of me and I always felt so safe when I was with him. Keith was physically very strong and worked out daily, went for long bike rides or hikes. Keith wasn’t a dog person until our sheltie Lambeau (yes named after the Packers) came into our life. He loved Lambeau very much and they are together now. We have another sheltie, Bernie (named after the Brewers) who Keith named “little big guy”. Keith’s kindness was with people and animals. He was simply an amazing man who I am blessed enough to have had for a husband for 30 years.
My husband was very clear on his feelings about organ donation. He wanted to help anyone any way he could even upon his death. Keith being so clear about his wishes helped me as I was in no condition to make any type of decision. My daughter made a video documenting Keith’s life. The video is set to music from several concerts that we went to. Dierks Bentley was our last concert at Red Rocks in Colorado. (The song living is in the video). We saw Scotty Mccreery at The Grand Ole Opry twice, Fond du Lac, Summerfest and Marshfield and we saw Cole Swindel in La Crosse. The video is named “Keith Heimann celebration of life” on You Tube if you would like to view the video
