Tim Hopping, Lion and Corneal Transplant Recipient
Tim Hopping spent his career helping children as an elementary school teacher and counselor. But years ago, glaucoma began slowly stealing his vision.
After multiple procedures, Tim received a corneal transplant made possible through the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
That surgery helped restore precious vision—and gave Tim the chance to continue enjoying family, community, and service.
Today, Tim is not only a transplant recipient—he’s also a Lion who volunteers as a Cornea Express transporter, delivering donated eye tissue for transplant surgeries.
“The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin has been a special blessing to me. Because donor families are willing to share this incredible gift, I’ve had the chance to regain some of my sight and truly see the beauty of the world again.”
