Mistie Griffith

Our Sister, The Hero.

Our sister, Mistie Griffith,  had the most beautiful blue grey eyes.  Those eyes watched her beloved pets play, her ever-flourishing vegetable garden grow, and her many friends smile.  All too soon, at age 55, she was taken up to Heaven.

Mistie was always a giver.  She volunteered at the animal shelter, rescued her 2 sisters from many a mishap, and could never do enough for her co- workers or clients.  Mistie, as you know, was an optician!

Knowing the importance of sight, Mistie made sure to tell us that she was an eye donor and wanted that wish honored.  And it was — so now a bit of our special sister lives on.  Mistie’s corneas have given sight to 2 individuals in Tunisia — a half a world away.

We know she is smiling up in Heaven with those blue grey eyes beaming.  Thank you, Mistie, for being a hero to all of us.
