Our Sister, The Hero.<\/p>\n
Our sister, Mistie Griffith,\u00a0 had the most beautiful blue grey eyes.\u00a0 Those eyes watched her beloved pets play, her ever-flourishing vegetable garden grow, and her many friends smile.\u00a0 All too soon, at age 55, she was taken up to Heaven.<\/p>\n
Mistie was always a giver.\u00a0 She volunteered at the animal shelter, rescued her 2 sisters from many a mishap, and could never do enough for her co- workers or clients.\u00a0 Mistie, as you know, was an optician!<\/p>\n
Knowing the importance of sight, Mistie made sure to tell us that she was an eye donor and wanted that wish honored.\u00a0 And it was — so now a bit of our special sister lives on.\u00a0 Mistie’s corneas have given sight to 2 individuals in Tunisia — a half a world away.<\/p>\n
We know she is smiling up in Heaven with those blue grey eyes beaming.\u00a0 Thank you, Mistie, for being a hero to all of us.<\/p>\n
