Financial Support
We've allowed mothers to see their children. We've made it possible for young men to see their wives. We've enabled children to view the world through unclouded eyes, and older adults to regain vision. We've done it together—you, and the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
Each year hundreds of Wisconsin residents receive the Gift of Sight through corneal transplantation. Many other families receive comfort from knowing their loved one's donation helps others in need. All of this is made possible by contributors, and by volunteers assisting the eye bank in everything from tissue transport to donor awareness. These efforts—and your generosity—have helped us provide eye tissue for transplant as well as research. The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin coordinates eye donations and works throughout the state to make certain that eye tissue is recovered, screened, and transported, making it available to those who need it.
Hundreds of volunteers help each year, but the costs associated with recovering, processing and screening corneal tissue—as well as education programs—continue to increase. Your financial support of any amount can help the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin provide these important services. Donations also support research programs to find cures for eye diseases affecting millions of people.
To those who have helped us, we thank you—and so do those we serve. If you'd like to join us in supporting the Gift of Sight, please contact the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, toll free at 877-233-2354 or use the downloadable mail donation forms.

Other Ways to Help
The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin provides free corneas for transplantation to those in need. Contributions also fund the recovery of eyes for research and education programs. The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin will work with you to recognize contributions or establish a planned giving program to help our donors and the eye bank fulfill mutual objectives. While each planned gift will differ in its specific benefit to the donor and to the eye bank, all of these gifts will provide an income tax deduction, or savings on estate tax or capital gains tax. Here are some suggestions for how you can help:
Cash Gifts: Cash, in the form of a check, is the simplest way to donate. Bequests/Planned Giving: Naming the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin as one of the beneficiaries in your will can reduce your estate tax and immeasurably benefit our transplant and research programs.
If you have already arranged for planned giving to the eye bank, we thank you and remind you of the foundation's legal name: Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, Inc. Please take the opportunity to change or add a codicil in your will to reflect your wishes.Memorials and Tributes: Supporters of the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin frequently make a donation to honor a loved one or a valued colleague. In addition, supporters often designate the eye bank as the recipient of donations in lieu of flowers being sent upon the death of a friend or family member. We would be happy to work with you to make individual arrangements for a sensitive situation in your life. When you make a gift to the eye bank in the form of a Memorial, the person in honor of whom you sent the gift will receive a letter acknowledging the Memorial, Honorarium, or Tribute.
Stocks and Bonds: A donation of stocks and/or bonds is another way to generously donate to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.
Workplace Giving Programs: Cash contributions can also be donated to the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin through workplace charitable matching campaigns. Your contribution will be expanded by matching funds contributed by your employer. Please check with your workplace giving administrator to ensure accuracy, and remember the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin in your pledges.
